"Yerba Santa," meaning "holy herb" in Spanish, is known for its protective qualities, helping to set boundaries, foster growth, ward off negativity, and attract love. It is primarily found in the southwestern and western regions of North America, as well as northwestern Mexico.  

Indigenous Californian tribes have traditionally used yerba santa as a remedy for respiratory ailments such as asthma and sinus-related allergies. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was also used as a natural treatment for tuberculosis. Beyond its medicinal benefits, yerba santa plays a crucial role in ecological restoration. Adapted to withstand California’s seasonal wildfires, it aids in revegetating land damaged by both natural forces and human activities, such as over-cultivation.
